Singing Backup

When Hunter offered Lewis a chance to sing backup, he shot it down rather quickly. Lewis was very self conscious about his singing voice. He hadn't always been, when he was very young he was always singing. To a point where it was almost embarrassing for his friends to be around him. Well, singing lost its appeal for Lewis when he indirectly inspired a whole musical to be written which he was later teased repeatedly for.

Lewis was obviously made fun of, because his birth name was Peter Pan. If that wasn't bad enough, he had the same physical features and a blonde small female sibling as the cartoon character. Even after Lewis changed his name and stopped singing to avoid all of the taunting, he was still made fun of because of how he looked. So he stopped wearing colors, because Peter Pan was usually associated with bright fanciful colors. Nothing really helped, but soon the taunting calmed down a little, after all, "Peter Pan isn't real."

After a long pause from the teasing, Lewis finally got up the nerve to start singing again, trying to forget how in the Peter Pan musicals "he" had always been played by a girl with a very high voice...Although he did most of the singing in private

He went with his friend Oswald to start up his singing again, a man he met through a group of people in a similar situation to him after Disney made a movie about Peter Pan. The group was run by a large amount of people, their lives being twisted into Disney stories or other works of fiction to a point where everyone around them teased them or compared them to the characters. They strived very heavily to try and stop the teasing and ridicule many of their members received, the first step was usually changing names. Oswald could be compared to the popular Disney character, Aladdin. Oswald, as well as Lewis, changed their identities through the organization.

Oswald brought Lewis to a rather private recording studio, where he was free to sing a few songs. Usually he liked to sings songs from his own musicals, stubborn that he could do it better. He made recordings, but never shared them, usually even Oswald was forced out of the room so Lewis could sing the songs in private...He still had those recordings, somewhere...But he didn't want to dig them up, after he met Hunter his music became even more of a secret.

Since Hunter was a big time singer, Lewis didn't want to be shown up...And he was content with being allowed to simply listen for a change. So no, he wouldn't be singing backup for anyone any time soon.
